Influenster DLVlox Box!

So, I recently started using this website called influenster.com. It is really cool. They send you free stuff to try as long as you fill out surveys and blog about it. I actually really like this website. I would not have made this post if I thought it was a waste of time.

Ohh, and did I mention it is FREE. They send you some pretty nice stuff for FREE. Here is a picture of all of the cool stuff I got.

All together, I got about $30 worth of stuff.
I got
-my favorite kind of tampons
-air heads candy
-pens
-nail polish
-foundation
-lip balm
-false eyelashes

I was so excited when I got this in the mail, because it was so unexpected. All I was expecting was my haribo candy I ordered from Germany, and BAM I got a nice free gift in the mail.

The first product I pulled out of the box was the new scented Playtex Sport tampons.

The regular Playtex Sport tampons are my favorite, so I will love these new ones.

Next thing in the box were these fake eyelashes.

I have not tried these out, but I love falsies, and I will post a full review of these later.

I also got this pretty red nail polish. It is a perfect color for fall time.

I got a lip balm. This lip product is decent, but I would not purchase again. I will use all of it, but it is not as moisturizing as I had hoped.

I also got this foundation that I LOVE. I was so surprised. I am such a makeup snob, but I tried this out and it is awesome! I will post a full review of this later as well.

I can not believe that I like this $8 foundation this much. I am so surprised.

I also got these erasable pens. They are pretty cool. I feel like they were a little random, but hey free pens.

I also got some candy that I did not take an individual picture of. It was decent. I ate it, but wouldn't go purchase it again.

Words can not describe how much I love this foundation. I am so impressed. All of my other foundations are Doir, Kat VonD, and MAC.  I will post a full review of this product later.

Anyway, go sign up at influenster.com. It is free and they send you stuff. It is awesome. Thanks for reading friends. I will see you next time.

Urban Decay Vice 3

I just got my new Vice palette today! It is so beautiful! The colors in here are gorgeous. The colors are organizedin vertical rows. Its starts with matte neutrals, cool jewel tones, neutral jewel tones, warm jewel tones, and satin neutrals. This palette is gorgeous! I ordered this the day it came out.

I did swatches, from top to bottom. The first picture is without flash, and the second is with flash.

So far copper is my favorite color.

Here are a couple looks I have done with it recently.

I can not wait to post more looks with this. Thanks for reading friends!

Broken Eyelashes!

So just recently, I tried out a new mascara. This was the firstexpensive mascara  that I have ever loved. It was also not waterproof. I always bought waterproof in the past, because it holds a curl better. Anyway, I got a sample of Makeup Forever smokey eye mascara. And within a couple weeks I started to notice how long my eyelashes looked!

Upon closer inspection, I saw that my eyelash were actualy longer! Apparently I have been breaking of the tips of my eyelashes for years....
I used to use cheap mascara that was waterproof. I am not sure if to blame ihow cheap it was, or the fact that it was waterproof, as to why I was breakinf off my eyelashes. But I sure felt like an idiot. All this time I thought I had realy short eyelashes. Granted, I have the most fragile hair known to man, but wow! I could not beleive how long my eye lashes looked! I am so impressed. I will buy many more products from Makeup Forever in the future.

And I thought I knew so much about makeup...

Just thought I should share my recent discovery friends! Thanks for reading.

Looks of the week!

This week I received the Too Faced "Joy to the Girls" palette. All I can say is wow! I did a review of it earlier this week, and I love this. I feel that this palette is completely under-rated. It was a limited addition palette, and I was able to snag this at an 80% off sale. Anyway, the three looks I will be posting are all from the Joy to the Girls palette. I will post a picture of the palette. (I got this of the internet. I knew it would be better than anythung I took with my Iphone)

The first look I did was slightly heavy, but still appropiate for day time.

I used a yellowey gold called "Twinkle" on my outer lids. I used a light pink, very similar to Urban Decay's sin, called "cheers". Then I applied a light brown called "cookie dough", very simmilar to Urban Decay's buck. Last but not least, i applied a glittery purple color called "sugar plum" in my crease. I followed with mascarra and liner.

Today I did something very subtle with two pinks and a light brown. I used "spike the punch", "cookie dough", and "cheers".

For this look I used a lot of the light bluecolor  called "joy", the black in the palette, and the mid brown called "mullberry". I did a cut crease with this look. This was a practice look for the weekend. I ended up loving it.

Well anyway, I am loving my new Joy to the Girls palette. If you can get your hands on it, I would highly recomend it. Thanks for your time friends. Hope you enjoyed this post.

Too Faced Joy to the Girls Palette

I finally received my Joy to the Girls palette that I got for 80% off, and it is beautiful. I haven't used it yet, but I can see it becoming a favorite.

The colors are beautiful. I also love that there are some matte shades! More importantly, there are dark matte shades. So many palettes now are all satin and glitter finishes.  I am a strong believer in a matte crease shade. I feel like different textures and finishes add different dimensions to your look. I am so  happy that this palette has mattes, glitters, and satin finishes.

I swatched all of the shadows left to right. The very first shade I swatched does not realy show up because it is a matte transition shade. The first is without flash, and the second is with flash.

So far cheers, twinkle, and sugar plum are my favorites. I also love the names of these shadows, they are so festive and happy.

Thanks for reading friends.

Beware of False Naked Palettes

A couple weeks ago, my friend ordered a Naked Palette from ebay. I know, ebay probaly isn't the smartest place to buy cosmetics, but she was trying to save a buck. And, its a very convincing fake. And it took her a little while to figure it out.

It looks pretty real huh? Well the main give away was 2 colors, and the quality. Half baked and sin are completely wrong. Half baked is a dark gold, and sin is a silvery pink. They were not in this palette. Plus, the quality was chalky and horrible. I put a picture of my real naked palette next to show how it should look.

The second picture is the fake. Another odd thing was the velvet on the case did not feel right. I know this sounds crazy, but I have used a Naked palette for 4 years now, so I noticed.

The brush was also wrong. The top picture is real and the bottom is fake.

It was completely the wrong colour? Like come on, they could'nt even make it grey? Not only was it the wrong color it was also terrible quality

There was also this weird cursive on the back of her pallete that is not on the origional. Why? Why would they do that? It makes no sense.

Moral of the story, buy your cosmetics from registered sights like sephora or ulta. Thanks friends.
